Roskilde 2009

me goofing off outside of the Pete Doherty show. FUCK FOREVER (if you don't mind)...!

julie and i @ Orange Stage

last sunday i took the bus to oslo and then to copenhagen with julie. this took me approx. 19 hours. monday at 6 AM i was back at the ROSKILDE FESTIVAL in Denmark. we put up our tents at the C-camp (like last year) with some collegues of Julie from "Hulen" in Bergen. it was the warmest festival in 33 years and it was overall a good experience. but i hatehatehate! the sanitary conditions. and i destest not being able to sleep because the neighbour camp keeps playing: "When there's something strange...in the neighbourhood....; who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!" 5 AM in the morning. my friend Heidi came wednesday night, just on time to see the concerts.

these are some of the bands i listened to:
Katzenjammer
El hijo de la cumbia
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Oasis
Håkan Hellström
Fleet Foxes
Ida Maria
Pete Doherty
Coldplay
Lily Allen
The Whitest Boy Alive

i have to say that Katzenjammer, Kanye, Pete and Coldpaly were the favorites. oasis were also good, but unfortunately was i too tired and wasted to pay much attention at the time.

this years festival was far from as scandalous as last year on my behalf. i was actually more of a party pooper; i went to bed early pretty much every night and i didn't fool around with anyone. maybe i've grown up. i saw a t-shirt on the festival and it said: "Old enough to know better but too young to give a damn". i think that describes my life decently lol. me and julie went to the "human carwash" on sunday, and that was more or less the "worst" thing i did lol. it means u strip down to your undies, and this guy scrubs you with soap, and peope can look in through a transparent wall. the two of us had been drinking red wine and started to throuw body scrubs at each other. it was freaking hilarious. after the session we entered a luxurious white lounge. we got to lay down on white beds and listed to calm music and were served soothing fruit drinks etc etc. we even got free internet service:) the coldplay gig was magnificant and moving. sometime around midnight, cathrine, julie, heidi, ole and i drove out of the camp. julie got off at the Kastrup airport to get on her flight to Barcelona and her interrail trip, while the rest of us made it to Sweden, and then took a two-hour break to sleep. the next day Ole drove us to Oslo, and i got off to get on the bus to my hometown and work next morning. puh. and yes, im totally aware of that ive written tons of type-o's but i dont mind. not today. im freaking toased, and i feel a cold is getting to me.
